Melinda, L.V.T.

Melinda has worked at Dothan Animal Hospital since 1975, starting when the practice was known as Garrett Kennington Veterinary Hospital. She received her Associates degree in Veterinary Technology in 1979. Melinda enjoys both her technician duties as well as her
managerial responsibilities. She takes pride in teaching the importance of quality patient care, and understands the importance of empathizing with clients.

Melinda is married with 2 daughters, and shares her home with 2 dogs, and 5 cats. When not on duty, Melinda enjoys home time with family or sitting on the beach watching the sunset. 

Hilary, Veterinary Assistant

Hilary has been a Dothan Animal Hospital employee for 10 years. She enjoys her job because she gets to see the joy on clients' faces when we are able to help their pet. Hilary has received her veterinary technician degree from Jefferson State Community College. In her free time, Hilary enjoys riding motorcycles and working on cars with her husband. She is the mother of one rambunctious little boy, and actually enjoys chasing him around and keeping him out of​ trouble. Hilary has 3 mixed-breed dogs and a tank of saltwater fish.

Brittany, Veterinary Assistant

Brittany has worked at Dothan Animal Hospital for 7 years. Brittany started out as a part time kennel worker while still in high school, and is now a full time veterinary assistant.

Brittany most enjoys seeing sick pets get well and go on to lead healthy lives. Working with animals has always been Brittany's desire and she couldn't imagine doing anything ​else. Brittany shares her home with 3 dogs and 3 cats.

Kristy, Veterinary Assistant

Kristy has been a part of the Dothan Animal Hospital family since July of 2019. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Zoology from the University of Florida and has been working as a Veterinary Assistant since 2012. Kristy loves the fast-paced environment of the veterinary field and the variety of tasks that must be performed with each patient.

Outside of work, Kristy enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and 4 year old daughter Avery. She shares her home with her Labrador "Sharky" and Red-Footed Tortoise "Littlefoot".

Anita , Kennel Supervisor

Since 1996 Anita has worked in the kennel of Dothan Animal Hospital, bathing and taking care of the animals that are boarding. Anita especially enjoys taking care of patients after they have had surgery, helping to make them as comfortable as possible. Anita enjoys working at Dothan Animal Hospital because animals are a huge part of her life. In her spare time, she cares for stray animals and enjoys photography.

Chelsey, Kennel Assistant

Chelsey has worked at Dothan Animal Hospital since 2016, working in the kennel with all of our clients fur babies. Chelsey enjoys caring for all of the patients and boarders, making sure they have everything they need to be happy during their stay. In her spare time, Chelsey enjoys spending time with family and going to the beach. Chelsey is the proud ​owner of 6 dogs and she loves each and every one of them.

Tyler, Kennel Assistant

​Tyler is a high school student who works afternoons after school and on the weekends. Tyler enjoys spending time with the patients as well as the pets that are boarding at Dothan Animal Hospital. Tyler works to make sure that all animals in the hospital have an enjoyable stay. Tyler has one dog at home.
